Isis Arts New Media Commissions 2004

Isis Arts is seeking submissions for two new media art commissions, to be completed between May and September 2004. The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday 23 April.

Artists are invited to submit proposals for web-based or moving image work ­ one of each will be selected. Proposals for either new projects or the completion of works in progress are welcome.

A fee of UKP 1,000 inclusive (includes artist fee, production costs and travel) will be awarded for each commission and up to 10 days at the Isis Arts media lab in Newcastle, including technical support to assist with production (please see the Isis Arts website for information about platforms, software and equipment available at Isis Arts). It is expected that at least part of the commission will be produced at Isis Arts.

Eligibility:

Open to professional artists who are working imaginatively with new media. Full time students are not eligible.

Proposals should include a brief project description (2 sides of A4 max) and the following information:

*Project Title
*Artist Statement and current CV
*Artists/Collaborators involved
*Technical requirements, including equipment/technical support provided by the artist
*Production schedule
*Support material/documentation of previous work ­ can be cd, dvd or vhs  - please include a list of all support materials and an SAE with adequate postage for return of materials.
*Statement about why you want to work with Isis Arts
