CIPRIAN CIUCLEA - Apparent Silence
D. Manuel Palace, Evora, Portugal, August 2-31, 2011
RO
Proiectul este inclus in cea de-a VII-a editie a Evora Printmaking

Apparent Silence is a contemporary concept describing the
contemporary jamming, apparently hidden, unseen, like the wind or moving
air. The process of working on the project began in October 2009, during a
residency inÂMonsaraz, Portugal, and completed in 2011. Presents a
symbolic battle with an invisible force, referring both to the individual
attempts to dominate nature and the irremediable failure before natural
phenomena. Whether it is wind or a shadow that drains, a stone apparently
at rest or the open space, what prevails is the irreversible passage of
time and how it shapes our perception.

Ciprian Ciuclea lives and works in Bucharest, Romania. He is an
artist equally concerned with the experimental forms of printmaking, and
with the subtleties of technology constantly integrated in site-specific
installations.
The project is included in VII Evora Printmaking Festival in Portugal
and supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Lisbon.
