Noul program MNAC/ The new MNAC programme: Work of the month/ Lucrarea lunii In fiecara luna, in mediateca muzeului (etajul 4) va fi prezentata o lucrare recenta, aleasa de unul dintre curatorii MNAC. Every month, the mediatheque of the museum (4th floor), will host a newly created work exhibited for one month, chosen by a MNAC curator. âââââââââââââââââââ Octombrie/October 2006 THOMAS CIULEI "Asta eâ pelicula super 16/35 mm transferat pe DVD, 92 min, 2001 Chosen by Ruxandra Balaci Meticulos realizat, documentarul de lung metraj este portretul a trei generaÅii de locuitori ai Deltei Dunarii. CÃndva un oraÅel prosper, Sulina este victima declinului Åi derutei post comuniste. Zece ani dupa caderea lui Ceausescu, locuitorii lui inca traiesc Ãn saracie. In ciuda disperarii lor, mai este loc pentru vise Åi umor. ProducÅia romano-germana, realizata cu sprijinul CNC Romania, a fost prezentata la numeroase festivaluri internationale, in ultimii trei ani, printre care Berlinala, Festivalul International de Film de la Rotterdam precum si la MoMA - New York. âââââââââââââââââââ Meticulously made, the documentary illustrates three generations of people from Romanian litlle town of Sulina in the Danube Delta. Once a prosperous trading village, it has fallen prey to communist decline and post communist confusion. Ten years after the fall of CeauÅescu, its inhabitants still live in grey poverty. Despite their desperate lot, there is room for dreams and humour.
