From: Ragnar Heil <Ragnar.Heil@urz.uni-heidelberg.de>

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am pleased to invite you to join a mailing-list dedicated to the
examination and discussion of virtual teams.

These are times of inceasing change for the world order. Intellectuals
have begun to talk about globalization and the coming knowledge- or
cyber-society. Companies that conduct business on an international scale
have increasingly begun to merge with enterprises from other countries. As
a result, important, new questions of technological possibilities and
modes of communication have been raised.

This list would like to provide a forum for discussion for experts in the
theory and practice of virtual teams as well as for those who are simply
interested in this discussion. In this case, virtual teams are understood
to be those that work on projects that require communication and
collaboration across boundaries of time, space, and organizations.
Undoubtedly, this context involves the new media, such as e-mail,
video-conferences, cellular phones, voice mail, etc., that are necessary
for everyday work.

It would also be helpful if you could invite friends or colleagues who are
interested in virtual teams to join this list.

http://www.egroups.com/group/virtualteams/info.html

I am looking forward to meeting with you soon on the list!

Best regards,

Ragnar Heil,
list-owner

Club Passim presents

CONCERT FOR KOSOVO
Thursday, August 19th
7:30 pm
Harvard University's Sanders Theater.
For tickets: 617.496.2222 (Tues-Sat, 12-6pm).
(Information on volunteering below)

The evening will feature an amazing lineup of artists. 100% of the
proceeds will benefit three humanitarian and relief organizations in
Boston that are working to rebuild Kosovo and provide assistance:
-Oxfam America
-The International Rescue Committee
-Physicians for Human Rights

To learn more about these organizations please visit the
concert website at: http://www.benefitkosovo.org

Although some refugees have already returned to Kosovo, more than
100,000 refugees remain in the camps. According to Physicians for
Human Rights, more than 100 medical clinics have been destroyed in
Kosovo. The UN reports that almost half of the schools in the province
have been severely destroyed or damaged and 50% of the houses are
damaged. In most towns, the water supplies have been endangered
according to Oxfam America. The International Rescue Committee is
assisting Kosovar refugees in the Boston area.

The concert lineup includes:

Ellis Paul -- Ten time Boston Music Award winner and Rounder recording
artist Ellis Paul has been heralded by the Boston Globe as "A national
folk star and the quintessential Boston songwriter."

Catie Curtis -- Deemed a "folk-rock goddess" by the New Yorker, Catie
Curtis was a performer in last summer's Lilith Fair and toured with
Mary Chapin Carpeter. This summer she headlined at the Newport Folk
Festival. Her new album on Rykodisc is "A Crash Course in Roses."

Five O?Clock Shadow -- Boston?s own pop vocal band, Five O?Clock
Shadow was recently nominated for three Contemporary Acappella Awards.
The band?s sound is an amalgam of rock, funk, dance, hip hop, jazz,
and edgy grooves.

Walter Robinson and his Gospel Ensemble -- Walter Robinson's musical
MOSES sold out two performances at the Emerson Majestic Theatre. His
gospel ensemble recently returned from a national tour.

Greg Greenway -- "A major talent" (Boston Phoenix), Eastern Front
Recording Artist Greg Greenway plays with "foot-stomping passion"
(Boston Globe).

Zabe i Babe -- Formed by Sarajevo native Minja lausevic, Zabe i Babe
features Balkan vocals in overdrive. Sing Out Magazine says,
"Exploding with passion, Zabe i Babe mixes wild abandon with a
raucously good time."

Plus, Cambridge-born commentator and humorist Jimmy Tingle will emcee
the event. An internationally acclaimed political satirist, Jimmy is
now the commentator of CBS TV?s 60 Minutes II. Jimmy?s one-man show
Uncommon Sense: The Education of an American Comic had sold-out runs
at the Hasty Pudding Theatre and Copley Theater in Boston in both 1996
and 1998.  He has been named Boston?s Best Comedian by Boston Magazine;
has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Late Show with Conan O?Brien, and
