Ted is quite right -- we've all heard that one before. Perhaps
i should have added: Criticism is dead. Long live criticism!
This is its mode of progress, producing itself out of itself.
In nettime, for example. The important thing is the timeliness
with which it *changes*.


The regicide of criticism is a more noble desire
than the necrophilia of scholarship.
