I think we can agree with the understanding that, yes, surprise, surprise, representation of reality via linguistic reduction is ... exclusive. But a critique of such a comprehensive work should at least rise to the level at which the work by Dr. Dreher has been done -- to show some respect for the effort -- I would hope that any/all of you who make a critique would supply him with relevant resources, references, documentation, and so on to add to what must be a tremendous bibliography already. To simply say this ... and this ... and this ... were not included is more than dispiriting. The other alternative is to have nothing written and let what was fade away with the death of living memory. jh -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dr. John Hopkins, BSc, MFA, PhD THE KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN: 10 NOVEMBER - 12 DECEMBER 2013 http://tinyurl.com/neoscenes http://tech-no-mad.net/blog/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: http://mx.kein.org/mailman/listinfo/nettime-l # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@kein.org
