Rivalry between the two races is therefore based 'in cultural and religious, but not in genetic differences', they conclude. Source: The London Observer >> Jews and Palestinians are closely related? Guess what? Every human on earth is more genetically similar than two monkeys in the SAME tribe! We all evolved from one family that left Africa about 80,000 years ago, a drip in the cosmological bucket. White skin evolved in northern climates because black skin is so good at filtering out UV rays -- blacks in northern climes got rickets. Yes, Jews and Palestinians are genetically almost identical, and so are Jews and Chinese, except for a handful of genes out of many millions. The gene theme is not the point. The fight is indeed over ideas. Is it a blasphemy to have equality between men and women, or is it not, that sort of thing. (Thanks t.) DG Morality is doing what is right no matter what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told no matter what is right. >> I would hardly think that this "fight" is over ideas. The original article was about the suppression of the evidence of genetic similarity of Semitic peoples by the legions who want to believe that there is a racial difference between Jews and Palestinians and want to use genetics to prove it and to create the basis for a Zionist argument about the supposed originary rights of Jews to the territory now known as Israel. The "fight" is not about ideas, and the issue is not whether or not we are all in fact related. It is about racism - against Palestinians and the deployment of science to try to create an objective basis for race, a pursuit that has been kept up why racist fanatics for more than 150 years despite the plethora of evidence against theories of racial superiority and inferiority. Genetics is and will continue to be used for the same reasons that eugenics was used in the late 19th and early 20th century.
