Hello all, we've got a new project.

It's a distracting artwork for, as it turns out, very distracting times.

For this project we're taking a new approach to broadcast, by embedding artworks within your browser, through a new extension that you can download for Chrome, Interruptions.

Interruptions is a Chrome extension artwork by The Bad Vibes Club that augments, modifies and interrupts your browsing experience. Performing mostly during the week of 11th-15th July, Interruptions will change the way you browse the web, providing you with unexpected moments of visual, aural and conceptual interruption dependent on the time of day, the websites you visit, and the content you see.

Interruptions is both a collection of individual artworks by Sam Mercer and Matthew de Kersaint Giraudeau, and a collaborative work with Field Broadcast, who commissioned the Interruptions project. Interruptions has been developed through research conducted by The Bad Vibes Club into the history of interruptions as an artistic practice. This research period included events at Milton Keynes Gallery, Furtherfield, Lancaster Arts and Open School East.
