The programme and the speakers of the international four-day NEW INDUSTRIES CONFERENCE: Money and Debt in the Post-Industrial World (HMKV at Dortmunder U, 16-19 January 2014) are finally online!
The NEW INDUSTRIES CONFERENCE examines the global financial crisis, the consequences of de-industrialisation, and the emergence of new forms of industry.
A programme of lectures, discussions and panel talks awaits visitors from Thursday night to Sunday afternoon. Participants include the Italian philosopher Maurizio Lazzarato (author of Die Fabrik des verschuldeten Menschen, 2012); economic correspondent for the German newspaper tageszeitung (taz) Ulrike Herrmann (author of Der Sieg des Kapitals 2013); the German cultural theorist, filmmaker and professor Christina von Braun (author of Der Preis des Geldes, 2012); Chaos Computer Club’ spokeswoman Constanze Kurz; Amsterdam-based Bitcoin activist Denis "Jaromil" Roio; Italian sociologist Elena Esposito; the former Berlin Senator for Culture and supporter of an unconditional basic income Adrienne Goehler; the philosopher Matteo Pasquinelli (Berlin/London) as well as the brothers Ralph and Stefan Heidenreich, authors of the book Mehr Geld (2008/2011).
