Monday 23rd, August 1999, in the afternoon:
A performance by Katarina Soukup (Canada). Radio Bicyclette is a
mobile performance which pays hommage to a web of clandestine
radio broadcasters which sprung up in opposition to the Soviet
invasion of Czechoslovakia in August, 1968. The performance
broadcasts sound pieces which weave oral histories of those who
remember the invasion with actual radio archives from 1968. The
public is invited to participate in the performance by bringing a
bicycle and a portable FM radio.
