Produced in co-operation with ANEM, r a d i o q u a l i a and others. In deference to KUNSTRADIO's association with artists from Yugoslavia, and in response to the unfolding tragedy in the region, a special live program in Austria and on the internet will listen to, and amplify voices from the war zone. "OTHER VOICES: Echoes from a War Zone" will fuse pre-recorded and live information, comprising texts, music, interviews, ambient sound, and radio works, into a soundscape to be broadcast on the Austrian national radio culture channel (Oesterreich 1 - 92 Mhz). The program will blend existing radio work from the KUNSTRADIO archives, with new work responding to the situation in the Balkans. KUNSTRADIO have brought radio artist, GORDAN PAUNOVIC, to Vienna, to produce a special live radio mix of the program. Until recently Paunovic was engaged with Radio B92 in Belgrade, as the Head of the Music Department. Since the advent of war, Radio B92 has been taken over by a new management team with very different intentions to the original B92 operation, which itself has been locked out of its former premises. The OTHER VOICES webcast will comprise images, texts and an audio visual broadcast from the Vienna studios, and will involve a live link up with Belgrade. The audio program, and informational material contextualising the event, will be also be archived after the broadcast on the KUNSTRADIO website: http://thing.at/orfkunstradio [ -credits - ] Kunstradio Web Team: Robert Adrian, Hans Groiss, Markus Seidl, Eva Wohlgemuth, and others Featured artists: Arsenije Jovanovic, Gordan Paunovic, Ivana Stefanovic, Aleksandar Vasiljevic, Robert Klajn (Jugoslavia), and Agnieszka Waligorska/Pekka Sirén (Finland), Dimitriy Nikolaev (Russia), Brian Conley, Bob Ostertag (U.S.A.), and many others.
