Syndicate: in the eve of vr 4.0

dear syndicalists,

re: virtual revolutions [vr]
http://www.yourserver.co.uk/vr

as you may very well know from recent vr references on this list and igor's
post-vr@tornio syndicate note: 'vr is not over. we keep on fighting'. and
'fight' we do in about a week when we will get together for the final
virtual revolutions [vr] residency [24/08 - 7/09/98] in manchester within
isea98, at the revolting media lab and public space. just a week after
warming up at the groovy first night of the revolting media lab on
saturday, 15/8/98,

this is also an extended invitation for any syndicalist or
syndicalist-to-be who will hang around isea98 to come along and follow our
vr sessions.

within the final vr residency we will be able to welcome some of the local
vr artists and also some of the participants from the previous workshops in
sofia, rotterdam and tornio, too. it is definitely shaping up as a bigger
and exciting vr meeting. ideally, we will try to juggle with three main
activities: working in the salford university media lab, going public in
the revolting real space and tapping into the ambitious international
symposium of electronic arts. we are also planning to have a closed vr
debate on print/electronic publication strategies & future collaborative
plans.

thus, all vr_s who are around for the final residency will take advantage of
both revolting & isea98 activities [fluid workshops, exhibitions & 2
conferences] with which these two weeks are fully packed. i have argued
also free artists' passes for the notoriously expensive liverpool
conference for those of the vr_s who are interested.

looking forward to hearing from you and possibly arranging to meet up
between 24/08 and 7/09 in manchester. please. find the vr 4.0 timetable
below.

cheers,
-illie
