E Mail Art 4

Dear Friends,

I would like to ask you publish this announcement:

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

                 COMPUTER GRAPHICS: E-MAIL ART 4
                internet>for>all?all<for<internet

The exhibition will be open on June 3rd at the cybercafe Klub
Internet - Multimedia at the Slovak National Museum in Bratislava,
Slovakia. The information on the previous events is on
www.cvt.stuba.sk/art/new.html

Until now, artists from Austria, Brazil, Canada, Belgium, Czech rep.,
England, France, Germany, Holland, Israel, New Zealand, Poland,
Singapore, Slovakia and USA participated. This year we would like
show authors from Albania, Belorussia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia,
Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Russia, Slovenia,
Ukraine, Yugoslavia and other former Soviet Union republics as well
as artists from Africa, Asia and South America. But everybody is
willcommed.

Works - computer generated and/or manipulated images, transmitted by
email will be printed (A4, A3 format) and exibited.
The reason why electronically created, distributed and archived images
are printed and exibited in a traditional way is that very few artists
here have Internet access and traditional exhibition is also social
event. Artists who have no Internet can mail floppy disc.
Required material: Maximum 3 images per author, very brief biography,
statement about the submitted imag(es) / 50 words maximum. Image file
GIF, JPG, PCX, TIFF maximum 100kb. UUencoded (UNIX or DOS type) or Pegassus
Mail is prefered. Every image and text should be at separate file.
The deadline for receiving data in April 30, 1997. One selected image and
statement of all participated artists will be published on the above
mentioned URL. Works should be mailed to> sperka@dcs.elf.stuba.sk
