ENGLISH TEXT FOLLOWS THE FRENCH TEXT COLLOQUE : L'ART A L'ERE POST-BIOLOGIQUE 12 & 13 décembre 2000 C.I.D. - Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris OLATS et CAiiA-STAR, en collaboration avec le CID ? Médiathèque ensb-a, proposent les 12 et 13 décembre prochains un colloque sur le thème L'art à l'ère post-biologique (Art in the post-biological era). A travers la présentation des travaux et recherches des artistes membres du groupe de recherche CAiiA-STAR, ce colloque fera le point sur la création actuelle et explorera les pratiques émergentes dans l'art et les techno-sciences : art bio-technologique, créativité en ligne, interrelation espace virtuel-espace physique, lien entre les mythes anciens et pratiques contemporaines, approche d'une conscience modifiée par les technologies contemporaines, etc. Parmi les participants : Roy Ascott, Peter Anders, Donna Cox, Elisa Giaccardi, Diane Gromala, Pamela Jennings, Eduardo Kac, Jim Laukes, Dan Livingstone, Kieran Lyons, Simone Michelin, Laurent Mignonneau, Joseph Nechvatal, Marcos Novak, Michaek Punt, Niranjan Rajah, Gretchen Schiller, Bill Seaman, Thecla Shiphorst, Chris Speed, Christa Sommerer. Médiathèque of the National School of Fine Arts, Paris, organise December 12th and 13th 2000, a symposium on the theme Art in the post-biological era.
