The precise term that would describe Haider and the policies of his party
is certainly not an unqualified "Nazi". He is an extremely right wing
person who finds inspiration in National-Socialist rhetorical strategies
and effectively puts into social circulation whatever and however much of
the National-Socialist ideology is possible/acceptable nowadays.

I do not see how one could fit, e.g Elfriede Jelinek into the
description "these nice alternative sorts, bearing their fake leftist
banners". This is an easy label as well, only coming from the other side
of the fence.
