Hi all,

I just heard that the vote in the European Parliament on the directive
proposal  about software patentability is scheduled for 30 june.

Many people are concerned that acceptance of the proposal will be
detrimental to the success of open source in Europe, and will greatly
hinder innovation in software, rather than stimulate it (the original
reason for patent law).
