Please distribute! Sorry for any cross postings. COMPETITION PROGRAMME INTEGRATED ART- NOVA FAÇADE CICIOGNON SQUARE, TRONDHEIM NEW POSTPONED DEADLINE FOR E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS! Deadline postponed for electronic delivery only! • The deadline for submissions are postponed to 12 PM, January 15, 2010. • This only applies to electronic delivery by e-mail (not snail mail!) • Accepted formats are PDFs and JPGs limited to 10 MB in total size. • Submissions are to be sent to teks[at]teks.no • Attention Espen Gangvik 1300 m2 (!) glass facade that needs suggestions for: - Electronic arts - New digital media - Interactive technologies - Dynamic solutions Arbeidernes Økonomiske Fellesorganisasjon(AØF), in collaboration with Live2011.com Grand Prix in Åbo 2011 –The European Capital for Culture, Midgard Media Lab at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and TEKS - Trondheim Electronic Arts Centre, invites participants to design an integrated art installation for the new façade of Folkets Hus. The new façades face Cicignon Square, Krambugata and Kattveita, and include the main entrance to the hotel and the cinema and congressional centre. Folkets Hus has undergone significant renovation in recent years. The first stage is now complete, and included renovating five floors to house a combined hotel, cinema and congressional centre. To expand the cultural facilities already in place, a new top floor congressional hall will be built at Folkets Hus. Building plans include a double glass front, spanning approx. 1300 m2. If applicable, the façade art may utilise the space between the glazing and the old façade for technical installations.
