*Square Eyes presenteert: Herz&Lux*

*Wanneer: 26 september 2009, van 20.00-24.00 uur in Showroom Arnhem.*

*Tijdens kunstfestival Made In Arnhem presenteert Square Eyes een avond met
korte films en livecinema performances. Voor deze avond is Square Eyes op
zoek naar korte films.*

We zijn op zoek naar annimaties, moving graphics, korte documentaires,
kunstfilms, muziekclips en reclames. Rode draad voor het selecteren van de
films is dat het duidelijk moet zijn dat de film een duidelijke link legt
naar nieuwe technieken, dat kan zijn in vormgeving, interactieve elementen
of gebruikte software om de film te maken.

Het festival richt zich op de digitale film vanwege de vernieuwende waarde
die de techniek heeft op verschillende facetten van de film: de productie,
de zeggingskracht, de makkelijke distributie en de schijnbaar
laagdrempeligheid van het medium.

Naast het filmprogramma is Square Eyes ook op zoek naar live-cinema
performances. Ook studenten worden van harte uitgenodigd hun werk in te
sturen.

*Square Eyes Presents: Hertz & Lux*

This year Square Eyes will present an evening with short films and live
cinemaperformances in collaboration with Art Festival Made In Arnhem.

* When: September 26th 2009, from 8 PM till midnight.*

* We are scouting for animations, moving graphics, short documentaries, art
films, music clips and advertisements.*

Square Eyes Festival is a festival for short digital films. Square Eyes
examines and programs films made with digital media.

The festival focuses on the digital film because of the innovative value
which the technique has on various aspects of the film: the production, the
expressiveness, the easy distribution and the apparently low access barrier
of the medium. The program will consist of art films, music clips,
advertisements, games, moving graphics, animations, documentaries. There
will also be a live-cinema programme and a studentcompetition.

The main objective when making the selection will be defined by the fact
that the film must have a very distinct link with the latest digital
technologies, this can be in the form of design, interactive elements or
implemented software to make the film.

Besides that we are also looking out for performances and installations
related to this theme.
