[Nettime-nl] I-SOUND WILL BE PLAYING LIVE

Hi,

As part of the La Cinca Project, initiated by Miklós Beyer and Thomas
Buxó,  Pascale Gatzen invited New York based artist I-Sound to do a
music performance in De Veemvloer in Amsterdam.


She met I-Sound a few years ago in New York, when her friend Ralf
introduced them; 'I got very excited hearing his music. He has
incredible possibilities to respond from a very fluid position to the
dynamics and the structure of music. He freely moves from one system
to another without a predetermined set up.'

I-Sound himself says about his music: 'I think the articulation of my
desire in a DJ environment is a process of constantly discarding
styles or creative devices that either become dated or cease to work
after a given time frame be it five minutes or five years.'

He regularly collaborates with the Swiss trio Koch/Schutz/Studer
under the name Roots & Wires and with the German group To Rococo Rot.
This month he releases the project Wasteland in collaboration with
London based DJ Scud on his own Transparent label.
