Ten years on, he remains firmly entrenched in power. His clear intention to retain his grip on the FRY guarantees the continuation of a highly destabilizing, siege atmosphere in Belgrade, and he has already signaled that he may turn against the democratically elected government in Montenegro. Further crises, confrontations, and possible conflict lie ahead. ICG's latest report, "Back to the Future: Milosevic Prepares For Life After Kosovo" analyses the Serbian response to the war and to the NATO alliance, and provides a more general survey of the political landscape in Serbia in the wake of the war. The report also offers a series of recommendations aimed at loosening Milosevic's grip on power. --> See http://www.crisisweb.org for the full report
