Opened November 1, 1997, B¸roFriedrich is a Berlin-based facility which
supports international exchange in contemporary art. In close collaboration
with international partners, B¸roFriedrich aims to reflect and to optimize
the conditions of production as well as the presentation of ideas, concepts
and artworks by (young) artists, curators and writers. The facility was
founded and is directed by the Dutch curator Waling Boers.

WERDEN SIE TEIL DIESES PROJEKTES
AKTUELLES WEBCAM BILD
Im offenen Dachgebälk des Ausstellungsraumes in Baden hängt ein
Behälter mit 10'000
PingPong-Bällen. Dieser ist mit einem elektromechanischen
Verschluss versehen, welcher die Bälle
einzeln gesteuert austreten lässt. Die Bälle
fallen, durch Personen aus dem Internet gesteuert hinunter,
hinein in den aus
Ausstellungswänden bestehenden, nach oben offenen Raumkörper.
Wird dieser Mechanismus während der
Ausstellung insgesamt 10'000 Mal
aus dem Internet ferngesteuert betätigt, so setzt sich die
Bodenfläche dieses Raumes, zu einer weissen
Bild--Fläche zusammen. Dieses sich
kontinuierlich zusammensetzende Bild, ist im Raum
unmittelbar nicht sichtbar. Die unmittelbare
Wahrnehmung beschränkt sich auf
das Geräusch der herunterfallenden PingPong-Bälle. Das
Bild ist nur als WebCam-Bild einsehbar.
GESTALTEN SIE MIT
1.Sie haben selber die Möglichkeit diesem Bild in Baden, mittels
dieser Website, mehrmals, bis zu sechs eigene Bildpunkte in Form
von
PingPong-Bällen hinzuzufügen.
2.Jedem dieser Bälle geben Sie eine Text-Botschaft
mit auf den Weg.
3.Diese Vorgäng können Sie beliebig wiederholen.
Ziel ist es, dass
bis am Ende der Ausstellung (22.Mai) das Bild abgechlossen
ist..

You adopted a character and "defend and express" that character in
the roll -play.
Possible characters:
Alexandro,32,dentist,married,3 children,hiv - positive,infected by
his wife.
Maria,11,only child,mother and father.
Pedro,22,Universerty student,two sisters.
Gabriella,52,air-hostess,devorced,two children,one grandchild.
Ana,17,highschool student,one brother,one sister,divorced parents.
Erica,28,dont want to take a hiv-test: its against the natur.
"The Roll Play Chairman",who does not take active part in the
play,but has the roll to structure the play,to avoid total chaos .
Participation:
We want 4 - 6 participants + "the chairman".The roll - play can be
played eighter.1: with emails untill the 8:th of May.2: on 2 - 4 IRC
meetings before the 8:th.3: on one single IRC meeting the 8:th of
May,live,direct,13.00 - 15.00 (CET=0).
About the characters:
You can adopted and develope a character - and play it.Or develope a
charachter and give it to someone else to play.Or give a quick
comment with an invented charatchter on the IRC direct,live event the
8:th supervised by the "chairman"
