A few questions from an interested on-looker.

Why the need for a new list?

This may seem a very straight forward question, but I am suddenly presented
with 2 options for subscription for similar material and I have no idea
why. Can someone please give me a more indepth insight than the postings so
far as to why this list has been set up?
