<nettime> Monsanto's 'Public Relations'

(for nettime's_digestive_system)

Dr Tom Holroyd wondered in a reaction to nettime's Monsanto repro of a
Guardian article, what the polemics about GM & Monsanto had to do with net
culture, and what was bad about both in general. Ted Byfield more than
adequately covered the latter. About the former, Monsanto's answer seems
to be on its way: At the APC (Association for Progressive Commmunication)
Europe conference this week-end in Nijmegen (Netherlands) people were
bracing themselves for attacks by 'the company that is not of the sort to
retire when things get bloody'. After the Biwater incident, and never mind
McDonald's, Monsanto, or whatever it will be called by then, seems to be
the next mega-corporation that wants to try to silence its critics on the
Net/web making use of all available legal recourses.

So see hundred mirrors flourish!
