Re: <nettime> Poetry

I am grateful, David, for your note and invitation to express myself a
little bit further the text I decided to self-introduce in the nettime/ the
following a teenager wrote some years ago, but an adult had to put
corrections due to the recent events on the globe; and I want to protect
that teenager in myself and for myself. Thank you/


over the past hundreds of years we as humanity sharpened our minds, drilled
into the matter (cosmic, earthic, plastic…), invented, developed, and
overdeveloped technologies, wrote/published tons of fine, pastoral, grey,
academic books and booklets, succeeded in medicine, biology, chemistry,
ecology, economy, philosophy….elsewhere; and the prevalent themes remain
the same - hate, revenge, lust, greed, control, judge, fear, pride… /see
the wars, humanitarian catastrophes, food crisis, oil prices, etc/


meanwhile in comfortable and warm homes all over the world there are
numerous oldfags, dear wrinkly chaps or humans in their middle ages (good
old English!) with prestigious university degrees, successful or, at least,
long careers, social weight, lists of publications, awards, national
recognitions or obliterations… why can not those intellectuals be
reformative and facilitative under rapidly changing conditions in the world
we all live in and which can be transformed by free will of each when we
are together. Why did an army of folks whose youth walked them through 60s
and 70s with music, poetry, personal freedom and freedom of expression
erased powerful memories from their beings and right now try to patronize
younger generations pretending that they KNOW something when one war after
another is eating peace on the planet?


Why with “Three Days of Peace and Music” stuck in the past, they chose the
paths of consumers and traders dispersing their potential on feeding the
lowest and the ugliest sides of /as they call it/“human nature”: pride,
greed, lust, see above?


Today the world is more divided and more united without any contradiction
between the two statements as compassion, compassionate actions, empathy,
support, benevolence, open heartedness, respectfulness, grace,
mercifulness, warmth, kindness, dignity, generosity are absolutely new old
values among many who decided to set networks within the world web/grid and
on the ground in order to do something that will help to bring pieces, bits
and patches of very fragile Peace together.


If one makes an effort and steps outside of loud multi million dollar news
making corporations, they may discover different world with a supportive
and very intelligent community which daily makes conscious decisions not to
invest their time, money, and energy into catastrophic thinking, skeptical
analysis, and apocalyptic prophecies. Instead of contributing into
gossiping , speculations, conspiracies, accusations, and complaints, may we
stay open minded with readiness to shift the world when “sometime they will
give a war and nobody will come”.

will know peace”


all words have been spoken, lots of proofs and examples have been given and
announced:

Lebanon peace project,

    Baskinta peace project,

         Dr. Ibrahim Karim’s projects in Switzerland

pride months became normally popular in so many countries all over the world


wars in Europe and Middle East brought wonderful people/volunteers together
in order to help, to assist, to ease


and, of course, there are voices and screams for separation: Palestinian
children, Ukrainian children and refugees…

                                                       Y E S!


how about: not a single child on this planet may stay hungry and unhappy

                     not a single woman on this planet may be tortured and
disrespected

                     not a single man on this planet may be forced to kill
and prove his masculinity


Basta!

: no long citations from dense and thick texts of respected scholars

: no long lists of references from journals with the highest H-index scores

: no more limiting rules, restraining beliefs, and power of authority based
upon artificially inflated  mightiness

: no more… labeling, judging, discharging, banning, scamming…


unless you are in academic, professional or mass media world playing
conscious game with something called “system” and perform resistance
towards absurdity of being a victim


nettime    no time   time to show your face   with grace
