<nettime> Piazza virtuale, a social network before the internet


Dear all,

I just finished a research project on "Piazza virtuale" by Van Gogh TV, an early attempt to create a social network via TV, that took place at documenta 9 in 1992, shortly before the internet changed the rules for remote global participation and collaboration.
