Inspired by pointy, bird-like masks of plague doctors and a vague idea of primal scream therapy for the self-isolated, Speaking Masks! is a project of bivoulab (an 'art up' without venture capital) ... a kindly remembrance of our vulnerability in times of COVID 19 ...a net.art project to which you are invited to speak, shriek, sing into/about/through your mask on any subject...in any language... and to become a contributor, the "results" of which will inevitably be some kind of sampling...mixed into an amalgam with the best bytes highlighted.

An artistic antidote to loneliness is participation. An artistic antidote to separation under Covid is togetherness in the practice of art.

Nettime is a place of togetherness, even in disagreement - across walls and geographies and doors. and muffled masking...
