Soros is the liberal answer to the Kochs, for sure. Like them, he
spends private money in ways that seek to change society. In a better
world (one without such huge concentrations of wealth) we would do
without such people. But today it's war, and in war you need allies.
There is no doubt that the "open society" is a more positive horizon
for social development than the updated fascism of the Orban clique,
or the libertarian fascism which is now resetting the agendas of the
American right-wing billionaires.
