Re: <nettime> What is the meaning of Trump's victory?

Hello, Felix, others, i I'm enjoying this thread, too. thanks to
all the thinking, feeling people. I wonder if this part of Felix's
comments could be fleshed out more:

"The battle, however, is extremely uphill. Not just because there
will be a lot of damage done over the next couple of years by
the victorious far right, but also because we swapped a media
landscape that promoted the neo-liberal consensus (old media) with
one that thrives on creating filter-bubbles or flame wars as modes of
high-energy, manic engagements."

how is that swapping seen/done? - thriving on "filter-bubbles"
-- you mean like creating niches which are an illusory state of
"agreement" and therefore may obscure deeper disagreement ? or
important sensibilitiy?

jordan crandall wrote on facebook recently that he was fairly fed up
by the clamor of messages "assuming" agreement...and thought we ought
to all try harder to figure out what each other mean - actually mean-
by what we say...

capitalism also about CLASS right, not just gender and race...but also
class... and surely the white blob that voted for trump - is in his
linear top-down view - a working class, without any striations, like
his shirts...just the vision of white, white, white.

sickened but defiant
