<nettime> radical democracy = cut your steak in half

I'd just like to say to one and all that the idea of China, India and other
developing countries "causing" the current food and oil price rises by
their new and untoward propensity to consume is just ridiculous.

If North Americans, Europeans, Japanese and Australians would cut their
steak in half, take public transportation once in a while and turn off
their TV when they're not being hypnotized by it, prices would fall to the
level of everyone's dinner table. Then maybe we could not only have more
interesting discussions of international relations, but even accept that we
all live on this planet together and have the same rights to its abundance.

best from Terra,

Brian Holmes
