<nettime> Oog (Modified by david garcia) |
A new kind of platform for net artists was launched this week in which a major Dutch national daily is offering a regular platform to visual artists to respond to regularly to the events of the day. --- In recent months I have been heading a small editorial team for the online version of the Dutch national newspaper "de Volkskrant" to develop "Oog" (Eye) a new kind of online platform in which artists in sound and image are asked to respond, on a regular basis, to news and current affairs. Each week a new work will be displayed. As the project develops, all the works made for Oog will be archived and accessable. This week ?Oog? is proud to be launching with the work of Han Hoogerbrugge I would like to invite you too take a look, both now and at any other time when you feel like experiencing another kind of perspective on current affairs newsletter: http://www.volkskrant.com/oog/nieuwsbrief/ http://www.volkskrant.com/oog I welcome all feedback not only on individual works but also on ways in which the project might develop in the future.
