Mute is just about to start an indepth comparison of CMSs Scoop and
Drupal, around the issue of ranking and moderating content as
collaborative publishing systems.

I case you're looking for a Java/XML based solution, check out Apache
Lenya. If you're in for some wiki-style cms take a look at cocoon-daisy
- - that's Java/XML based too.
