<nettime> search engines |
Does anyone know of any articles discussing the efficiency of web search engines? I have a general idea that search engines can take up to a year to update a down web site but I am wondering if anyone has written about how search engines do what they do and, espcially, how up do date their hits are. # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
