Yeah, but does he understand fiction?  Godalmighty, pages of plot
recapitulation when he can't think of anything else to do, and, oh yeah,
be sure to rescue that plucky heroine unscathed when she gets into a tight
spot.  On the other hand, the witty wordplay counts for something.
"Stephen King's Wang"?  Brilliant.
