In this BAT SHALOM PETITION one of the passages is:
Let the international community form a group of women from all around the
world to become the Women's Peace Corps - an international meditating body
of women who will listen, facilitate, help us save ourselves.

If the women of Palestine and Israel can live in peace, then why can't the
world live in peace. What is holding us back? Perhaps not enough women are
talking and acting? I hope that this will provide a space for more women to
become part of the discussion on the Blue Ear Forum also less and less of us
have been participating in recent months.

PETITION OF BAT SHALOM

Let the women talk! Let the women act! We know that two peoples CAN live in
this land. WE know that our children deserve a life of dignity and peace. We
do not want our children to be killed, nor do we want them to be killers. We
must stop this madness. We must stop the use of brute force. Let the women
talk. Let the women act. Let Palestinian and Israeli women lead the way. It
was Israeli women who changed public opinion about the terrible and
pointless war in Lebanon. It was Palestinian women who were courageous
enough to engage in joint peace initiatives with Israelis.We the women can
find an end to this cycle of violence as well. Let the women talk. Let the
women act.

The men tell us not to be scared. They all tell us to be strong.We are
scared, and we want them to be scared too.We do not want to be "strong".We
don't want them to think that they are strong enough to make the other
nation disappear or go down in defeat and disgrace. We want each and every
person to have the right to live in peace and dignity.

We want to share the resources of this land, its water, its vines, and its
holy places. Jerusalem can be shared; this whole area can be shared between
two independent and equal nations. Israel should not rule the lives of
Palestinians. Neither Palestine nor Israel should believe that peace can be
won through violence and force.Let the women talk. Let the women act.

Palestinian and Israeli women have been talking for years about their future
here. Tens of thousands of women from around the world have been supporting
our vision of making peace. These have been quiet efforts thus far.Now is
the time to raise our voices and insist on being heard. Let the women talk.
Let the women act. Let the women try to make sense where men did not. We are
launching an international initiative to stop the violence immediately. We
are insisting that all negotiating teams include at least 50% women - in the
Palestinian and Israeli leadership, in the UN teams, among representatives
of all the governments involved in attempts to resolve this conflict. The
women will talk- they will not shoot. There are too many men with too many
egos involved in burning this piece of land. Let the women talk- we can
bring peace.

Bring the women in. The men have not done a good job here. They talk of a
security based in might. We know that security means being good

want the next generation of children to wear uniforms, to go to war. We want
them to know self-determination and dignity, without the need to fight for
them.

The president of the Florida Holocaust Museum said Saturday that George W.
Bush's grandfather derived a portion of his personal fortune through his
affiliation with a Nazi-controlled bank.

John Loftus, a former prosecutor in the Justice Department's Nazi War Crimes
Unit, said his research found that Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a
principal in the Union Banking Corp. in Manhattan in the late 1930s and the
1940s.

Leading Nazi industrialists secretly owned the bank at that time, Loftus
said, and were moving money into it through a second bank in Holland even
after the United States declared war on Germany. The bank was liquidated in
1951, Loftus said, and Bush's grandfather and great-grandfather received
$1.5 million from the bank as part of that dissolution.

"That's where the Bush family fortune came from: It came from the Third
Reich," Loftus said. Loftus made his remarks during a speech as part of the
Sarasota Reading Festival. The author of "Unholy Trinity: The Vatican, The
Nazis and the Swiss Banks," Loftus documented the Swiss bank accounts that
harbored funds confiscated from Holocaust victims and the participation of
Italian priests in smuggling Nazi war criminals to safe haven in Canada,
Central and South America and the United States after the war.

Although he said he had a file of paperwork linking the bank and Prescott
Bush to Nazi money, Loftus did not provide that documentation Saturday.

Loftus pointed out that the Bush family would not be the only American
political dynasty to have ties to the "wrong side of World War II." The
Rockefellers had financial connections to Nazi Germany, he said.

Loftus also reminded his audience that John F. Kennedy's father, an avowed
isolationist and former ambassador to Great Britain, profited during the
1930s and '40s from Nazi stocks that he owned.

"No one today blames the Democrats because Jack Kennedy's father bought Nazi
stocks," Loftus said. Still, he said, it is important to understand these
historical connections for what they tell us about politics today. The World
War II experience points out how easy it was then -- and remains today -- to
hide money in multinational funds.

That money flows into American politics today, he said, from "a series of
multinational corporations behaving like pirates. They don't care about
ideology; they care about money."
Loftus' speech left many in tears.

"I am absolutely shocked," said Nancy Krauss of Punta Gorda. "I wish this
would have come out before the election. My husband voted for Bush. I don't
think he would have voted for him if he would have known."

A Jewish Perspective on GW Bush

For 70 years the Bush family has hidden their three generations
long connection to Nazis, anti-Semitism and eugenics. For a
Jewish person, learning that the President's family fortune and
political connections began with financing Hitler is a serious
matter. It may have accounted for GW getting few Jewish votes.

Unlike recent US Presidents GW Bush has appointed no Jewish
cabinet members. He does however have a Jewish press secretary,
Ari Fleischer, who will add ethnic credibility in the event
questions arise regarding the President's Hitler connection.

Somewhat uncomfortable around Jews, Bush is aggressively
reaching out to the African American community despite getting
less than 10% of their vote. Recently, CNN showed Black
ministers posing with Bush and then holding a press conference
announcing the end of both the civil rights era and the influence
of "agitators" and "radicals" like Jesse Jackson.

In Nazi Germany there were Jewish leaders, the Judenrate, who
similarly advised their followers not to resist Adolf Hitler.
Elevating a few members of a targeted group is an effective way
to disarm your victims. This 1939 quote from a leading American
eugenicist perfectly describes the Bush technique:

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with
social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The
most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a
religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want
to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man
who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their
more rebellious members." [2]

Bush's assurances of equality and opportunity stand in stark
contrast to his past actions and family history. The seeming
diversity within this administration is quite literally, skin deep.

All of GW's cabinet appointees - including his minority
appointees and advisors - are associated with right wing think
tanks and foundations connected to white supremacists, the CIA
or eugenics, the pseudo-science of racial superiority. Many -
including Stephen Goldsmith, Tommy Thompson, Elaine Chou,
John Ashcroft, Marvin Olasky, Linda Chavez, Karl Rove and
Spencer Abraham - are colleagues of or are organizationally
associated with Charles Murray, author of The Bell Curve. [3]

According to the Bell Curve, Blacks are genetically inferior.
Having a low IQ, they can't help but have out of wedlock
children, live in poverty or resort to criminal activity. This
conclusion is then used to justify building more prisons,
privatizing schools and eliminating affirmative action, welfare
and many social programs. [4]

Undoubtedly, some people share this view of African Americans.
Re-packaged as, "compassionate conservatism" - a motto coined
by the CIA's Manhattan Institute - this kind of subtly-coded
racism is exactly why Bush appealed to many white voters. [5]

However, it's not just Blacks and Jews who need to be concerned
about the Bush presidency. Bush's cabinet has striking parallels
to and many of the exact same corporate players as the IG Farben
oil, pharmaceutical, chemical and munitions cartel that formed
the industrial base of Nazi Germany. By means of their vaccines,
pharmaceuticals, pesticides and pollution these corporations and
their modern day subsidiaries have already caused the death,
illness and injury of more people than the Nazis did. [6]

The Bush-Nazi connection began in the 1930's when GW's
grandfather, Prescott Bush, and Prescott's father-in-law George
Herbert Walker, made fortunes in the Wall Street offices of
Brown Brothers-Harriman. They were managing directors for
companies funneling laundered money and strategic materials to
Nazi Germany. These banks and shipping companies were seized
in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act when The US
Congress characterized them as Nazi front organizations. [7]

It is true, as defenders of the President say, that the Bush family
were not alone in their support for Hitler. Among the legendary
American corporations and individuals who backed the Third
Reich were Henry Ford, JP Morgan, The Du Ponts, Allen and
John Foster Dulles (America's first CIA director and President
Eisenhower's Secretary of State), Charles Lindbergh, William
Randolph Hearst, Alcoa Aluminum, Rockefeller's Standard Oil
(Exxon), General Motors, ITT and Chase Bank. [8]

Today this history is suppressed by the corporate media which
depends on advertising from the very same companies that put
Hitler in power, but prominent Americans were not always shy
about being fascists. In the 1930's America's industrial elite was
so openly pro-Hitler that in 1937 William E. Dodd, US
Ambassador to Germany was quoted in the NY Times as saying:

"A clique of U.S. industrialists is hell-bent to bring a fascist state
to supplant our democratic government and is working closely
with the fascist regime in Germany and Italy. I have had plenty of
opportunity in my post in Berlin to witness how close some of
our American ruling families are to the Nazi regime.... " [8]

Immediately following WWII, the US government brought
thousands of Nazis to America, provided them with false
identities and established them in the newly formed CIA, in
universities, in the media, in medical and psychological research
institutions and in the US military. [9]

Former Presidents Bush, Reagan and Nixon used many of these
former Nazis as advisors, fundraisers and campaign aides and
they were an essential element in building the extreme right wing
of the Republican party. [10]

After WWII Allen Dulles, a Bush associate who was
instrumental in financing the Third Reich, became the first CIA
director. His brother, John Foster Dulles - the largest stockholder
in Standard Oil/IG Farben after Rockefeller - became US Sec. of
State. Reagan's CIA director, William Casey - who worked with
the Dulles brothers in bringing Nazis to the US. - created The
Manhattan Institute - the think tank that invented GW Bush's
political agenda and advises him on a daily basis. [11]

It was the first Bush administration which gave Sadamn Hussein
the chemical and biological weapons we've spent the past decade
trying to locate in Iraq. It was the anti-Semitic, anti-Christian
Arab oil partners of the Bush family that our soldiers risked their
lives to protect in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.
The corrupt dynasties which oppressively rule these Arab nations
were among Hitler's closest allies in WWII. [12]

After WWII discredited Nazism its American sympathizers, who
numbered in the millions, realized the need for a fresh vehicle to
disseminate their views. What they came up with - combining
fascism, states rights and white supremacy with a new
interpretation of Christianity - has emerged in recent years as the
immensely powerful and well-funded Christian far right. [13]

When John Ashcroft addressed the commencement ceremony at
the anti-Catholic, anti-Mormon and until recently, racially
segregated, Bob Jones University and solemnly intoned, "We
have no king but Jesus", were we hearing patriotism, faith or
fascism? (Ashcroft was misquoting a Baptist Revolutionary War
slogan, No King, No Pope", according to Revolutionary War
historians). As Missouri Attorney General, Ashcroft certainly
knew of the US Supreme Court decision declaring Bob Jones
University to be racist and revoking its tax deferment. [14]

Ashcroft's denial under oath that he knew what Bob Jones
represented, like claims he did not know Southern Heritage
magazine routinely defended slavery, are hard to believe. As
evidenced by numerous pamphlets and books from the 18th and
19th century, Southern slave-owners extensively used the Bible
to justify slavery, which they claimed was ordained by God. [15]

In Mein Kampf, in his speeches and in his governmental policies
Adolf Hitler frequently exploited religion and religious symbols
as shown by the following of numerous possible examples:

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools
have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction
without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all
character training and religion must be derived from faith . . . we
need believing people." -Adolf Hitler speech, April 26, 1933,
during negotiations leading to the Nazi-Vatican Concordant.

A number of German ministers were instrumental in helping
Hitler come to power by lending their credibility as men of faith.
Perhaps these ministers believed Hitler would institute a
faith-based government - as GW Bush claims he will do today.

Everyone knows the statement of Reverend Martin Niemoeller:

"In Germany they came first for the communists, and I didn't
speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the
Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they
came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I
wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I
didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for
me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.'Äù

What most people don't know is that Reverend Niemoeller - now
the most frequently quoted opponent of Nazism - had initially
been an enthusiastic supporter of the Nazi party. [16]

Will America's religious leaders end up like Rev. Niemoeller
after he was arrested by the Gestapo - denouncing GW Bush
from behind the barbed wire of a modern day Auschwitz? Will
opposition to Bush, Ashcroft and vouchers fail because
Democrats are afraid to be accused of being anti-religious?

Like Hitler, Bush's first act as President was an attack on First
Amendment freedom of speech - a gag order on overseas agencies
receiving funding if they even mentioned birth control or
abortion. Likewise, the Third Reich began with executive orders
suspending the civil rights of the German people.

'Restrictions on personal liberty, on the right of free expression
including freedom of the press; on the rights of assembly and
association; warrants for house searches, orders for confiscations
as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond
the legal limits otherwise prescribed' -From Hitler's, Decree For
The Protection of the People and the State, 1933.

Confusion as to the real position on abortion within the Bush
administration exactly mirrors Hitlers' seemingly contradictory
efforts concerning birth control, sterlization and abortion.

"In Nazi Germany, abortion was strictly prohibited...Aryan
women were to reproduce to increase the master race. Abortion
was declared an act against the state...Under the Weimar
Republic, birth control information had been widely
disseminated. In 1933, birth control centres were closed and the
advertising of contraceptives stopped. Women were encouraged
not to work and financial incentives were introduced to
encourage childbearing. In contrast, Jewish women were forced
to have abortions...abortion and sterilization were used by the
state against groups it considered racially undesirable." [17-18]

Apart from complaining about his background, you might ask
what I as a Jewish American want from GW Bush.

Like many Americans I believe he is not a legitimate President,
however, the US Supreme Court has allowed this coup-like
election to proceed. Therefore, I'm resigned to accepting that for
the next four years we will have a Nazi in the White House.

All I'd ask of President Bush is something very simple for him to
do. Mr. President, please make a public statement - as many of
the corporations associated with you have already done -
acknowledging your family's past relationship with Nazi
Germany, and then, apologize for it - as the Pope recently did.

Unlike your father, former President Bush, who said it was time
to forgive Nazis Germany's war criminals, you have made
seemingly sincere speeches about the Holocaust while
fundraising at synagogues and Jewish community centers. [19]

Now it's time for you to complete the "healing process" you are
always referring to and publicly repent for your family's part in
bringing the Holocaust about.

Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare of Peace and Prosperity is Finally Over'

WASHINGTON, DC--Mere days from assuming the presidency and closing the door
on eight years of Bill Clinton, president-elect George W. Bush assured the
nation in a televised address Tuesday that "our long national nightmare of
peace and prosperity is finally over."

Above: President-elect Bush vows that "together, we can put the triumphs of
the recent past behind us."

"My fellow Americans," Bush said, "at long last, we have reached the end of
the dark period in American history that will come to be known as the
Clinton Era, eight long years characterized by unprecedented economic
expansion, a sharp decrease in crime, and sustained peace overseas. The time
has come to put all of that behind us."

Bush swore to do "everything in [his] power" to undo the damage wrought by
Clinton's two terms in office, including selling off the national parks to
developers, going into massive debt to develop expensive and impractical
weapons technologies, and passing sweeping budget cuts that drive the
mentally ill out of hospitals and onto the street.

During the 40-minute speech, Bush also promised to bring an end to the
severe war drought that plagued the nation under Clinton, assuring citizens
that the U.S. will engage in at least one Gulf War-level armed conflict in
the next four years.

"You better believe we're going to mix it up with somebody at some point
during my administration," said Bush, who plans a 250 percent boost in
military spending. "Unlike my predecessor, I am fully committed to putting
soldiers in battle situations. Otherwise, what is the point of even having a
military?"

On the economic side, Bush vowed to bring back economic stagnation by
implementing substantial tax cuts, which would lead to a recession, which
would necessitate a tax hike, which would lead to a drop in consumer
spending, which would lead to layoffs, which would deepen the recession even
further.

Wall Street responded strongly to the Bush speech, with the Dow Jones
industrial fluctuating wildly before closing at an 18-month low. The NASDAQ
composite index, rattled by a gloomy outlook for tech stocks in 2001, also
fell sharply, losing 4.4 percent of its total value between 3 p.m. and the
closing bell.

Asked for comment about the cooling technology sector, Bush said: "That's
hardly my area of expertise."

Turning to the subject of the environment, Bush said he will do whatever it
takes to undo the tremendous damage not done by the Clinton Administration
to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He assured citizens that he will
follow through on his campaign promise to open the 1.5 million acre refuge's
coastal plain to oil drilling. As a sign of his commitment to bringing about
a change in the environment, he pointed to his choice of Gale Norton for
Secretary of the Interior. Norton, Bush noted, has "extensive experience"
fighting environmental causes, working as a lobbyist for lead-paint
manufacturers and as an attorney for loggers and miners, in addition to
suing the EPA to overturn clean-air standards.

Bush had equally high praise for Attorney General nominee John Ashcroft,
whom he praised as "a tireless champion in the battle to protect a woman's
right to give birth."

"Soon, with John Ashcroft's help, we will move out of the Dark Ages and into
a more enlightened time when a woman will be free to think long and hard
before trying to fight her way past throngs of protesters blocking her
entrance to an abortion clinic," Bush said. "We as a nation can look forward
to lots and lots of babies."

Continued Bush: "John Ashcroft will be invaluable in healing the terrible
wedge President Clinton drove between church and state."

The speech was met with overwhelming approval from Republican leaders.

"Finally, the horrific misrule of the Democrats has been brought to a
close," House Majority Leader Dennis Hastert (R-IL) told reporters. "Under
Bush, we can all look forward to military aggression, deregulation of
dangerous, greedy industries, and the defunding of vital domestic
social-service programs upon which millions depend. Mercifully, we can now
say goodbye to the awful nightmare that was Clinton's America."

"For years, I tirelessly preached the message that Clinton must be stopped,"
conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh said. "And yet, in 1996, the
American public failed to heed my urgent warnings, re-electing Clinton
despite the fact that the nation was prosperous and at peace under his
regime. But now, thank God, that's all done with. Once again, we will enjoy
mounting debt, jingoism, nuclear paranoia, mass deficit, and a massive
military build-up."

An overwhelming 49.9 percent of Americans responded enthusiastically to the
Bush speech.

"After eight years of relatively sane fiscal policy under the Democrats, we
have reached a point where, just a few weeks ago, President Clinton said
that the national debt could be paid off by as early as 2012," Rahway, NJ,
machinist and father of three Bud Crandall said. "That's not the kind of
world I want my children to grow up in."

"You have no idea what it's like to be black and enfranchised," said Marlon
Hastings, one of thousands of Miami-Dade County residents whose votes were
not counted in the 2000 presidential election. "George W. Bush understands
the pain of enfranchisement, and ever since Election Day, he has fought
tirelessly to make sure it never happens to my people again."

Bush concluded his speech on a note of healing and redemption.

"We as a people must stand united, banding together to tear this nation in
two," Bush said. "Much work lies ahead of us: The gap between the rich and
the poor may be wide, be there's much more widening left to do. We must
squander our nation's hard-won budget surplus on tax breaks for the
wealthiest 15 percent. And, on the foreign front, we must find an enemy and
defeat it."

"The insanity is over," Bush said. "After a long, dark night of peace and
stability, the sun is finally rising again over America. We look forward to
a bright new dawn not seen since the glory days of my dad."

Un contencioso en un contexto de colonizacion

En el contencioso que mantiene los nativos del valle de Makua y el gobierno

'Freedom through football' is the slogan of the anarchic English football
team which went to play Zapatista rebels.

When the Bristol amateur football team, Easton Cowboys, first discussed the
possibility of organising a soccer tournament in a war zone in southern
Mexico, the fear of a stray bullet proved less daunting than the prospect of
strict dry laws imposed inside rebel villages. "It became known as the Betty
Ford tour," quipped Roger, an original Cowboy, speaking last Saturday in
Morelia, a small Chiapas village where the oddest football squad in the
world squared up against rebellious peasant farmers in the Lacandon jungle.

This strange encounter was made possible by the January 1994 Zapatista
uprising, when thousands of armed rebels declared war on the Mexican
government, renewing a struggle for land and autonomy rights which dates
back five centuries.

The uprising struck a chord with the Easton Cowboys, an anarchist football
team based in Easton, a working-class area of Bristol. The area has a large
population of Asians, Jamaicans and Somalians, alongside a blow-in army of
punks and squatters.

Training sessions are conducted largely from the safety of bar stools in the
Plough, the team's beloved local pub, where strenuous pint-pulling
strengthens muscles and loosens tongues. The players' distrust of authority
has left them without a captain or a manager, or even a consistent line-up.

However, the club's 200 members manage to field three local league teams,
plus an under-12 selection, while the children have formed their own social
sub-committee called FECK, (the Friends of Easton Cowboys Kid's Club).

Somehow, they made it to Mexico, thousands of miles from home, barely a word
of Spanish between them, defying tropical heat, dengue-carrying mosquitos,
Montezuma's revenge and Mexico's vigilant migration officers.

On the day the squad arrived in Chiapas, a front-page story in Mexico's main
daily paper denounced the presence of "guerrilla tourists" in the region,
"shrouded in a veil of revolutionary romanticism".

The Mexican law which prohibits foreigners from getting involved in
political affairs has been strictly enforced in recent years, resulting in
more than 200 expulsion orders.

The Mexican army set up camps next to rebel villages in 1995. The villagers
in turn invited hundreds of foreign observers to set up makeshift camps
alongside them, to monitor persistent harassment of besieged communities.

In Morelia, the English squad faced one team called the Three Martyrs of
January 7th, recalling three villagers tortured and disappeared by the
Mexican army in 1994, in revenge for the uprising.

The situation has improved slightly since Mexican President Vicente Fox took
office last December, ending 71 years of one-party rule. Fox has made peace
in Chiapas, the benchmark of his promise to transform Mexico into a
tolerant, multi-ethnic democracy.

Last week, however, pressure from business leaders forced him to backtrack
on measures aimed at reopening dialogue with the rebel leadership, which is
a major setback to peace hopes.

The Easton Cowboys found a loophole in the migration law, which excludes
sporting events from travel regulations. As members of the Gloucester
Football Association, the Cowboys obtained a letter from FIFA, the governing
world football body, which accredited them as legitimate sportspeople on an
authorised mission.

The team members work as carpenters, roadies, stress managers, chefs and
other jobs, all paying their own way to Mexico. Ben, a self-styled
"guerrilla gardener", who applies his expertise in permaculture methods to
British highways and shopping centres, was inadvertently financed by
Bristol's police force, after a Bristol court awarded Ben damages for
wrongful arrest arising from a direct action protest.

When the team lined up in Morelia for the first game of the tournament, play
was delayed by an unburied water pipe on the pitch, as the village's supply
line ran across the football field. It was an appropriate coincidence, as
the visiting team raised several thousand pounds to pay for the installation
of the community water system.

The first game took off at a frantic pace under a cruel sun: the Zapatistas
relying on stamina rather than technique, running like crazy after the ball
and wearing down the enemy. The locals faced a terrific imbalance in the
air, as the members of the English team stood at least a foot taller than
them. The first game saw an easy victory for the visiting team, who won two
games and lost one, thus qualifying for the final.

The Cowboys' tour kicked off in La Realidad, the location of Zapatista army
headquarters, where the visiting team found 12 teams waiting for them, twice
the number expected. In addition, the village unearthed a microphone and
recruited Esteban, the Zapatistas' answer to Eamon Dunphy, to perform a
running commentary. It proved an integral part of the show.

One squad walked six hours through the jungle to play a game, sacrificing a
valuable day's work in the cornfield. "Once people heard the Ingleses
(English) were coming, they trained like mad," said one local.

The Cowboys suffered a remarkable range of injuries, from cracked ribs to
scratched necks, bruised shins and sunstroke, as friendly games took on the
air of a World Cup qualifying fixture, with five players forced to abandon
play along the way.

The first casualty of the trip occurred 100 miles from the nearest football
pitch, at the beach resort of Tulum, en route to Chiapas. After a night on
the town, one player returned to his hotel room and was surprised to find it
locked. He kicked in the door only to find a naked couple cowering beside
their bed, one of them brandishing a large knife, ready for mortal combat
with the intruder.

That was the end of his trip to Mexico.

"We try to sort out problems between ourselves," said Roger, who described
the team as "an extended family", willing to lend a hand in tough times.
Back home, the Cowboys sheltered a Mozambique refugee for two years while on
another occasion, a woman facing eviction was saved from the street thanks
to money raised on her behalf.

The team slogan is: "Join the Cowboys, make friends, find a partner, a job
and a baby". Paul, a single parent with custody of Hannah, bears out the
prophecy. Born in Cork, Hannah, aged 8, teaches games to the local children,
fashioning broomsticks from local trees and running on to the pitch at
half-time, to distribute oranges to the players.

Her father, who has a Master's degree in Soviet Studies, was initially
sceptical about visiting another socialist country. "It seems to work
though," he said, pointing to Morelia's co-operative shops, collective crops
and joint decision-making process, conducted through regular village
assemblies.

The footballers left their mark wherever they went, thanks to the artistic
skill of Robin Banks, awarded Artist of the Year by Britain's Face magazine.
"Freedom Through Football", the Cowboy's slogan, now adorns the walls in
several communities.

Earlier this month, Mexico's Foreign Minister, Jorge Castaneda, called the
nation's entire diplomatic corps together and instructed them to "make
Mexico fashionable" after six years of negative publicity.

The diplomats could do worse than study the history of the Zapatista
movement, which has skillfully connected with everyone from Oliver Stone and
Bianca Jagger to Nobel Prize winners José Saramago and Rigoberta Menchu, and
US rockers, Rage Against the Machine. The marketing manager of Benetton once
stopped by, asking permission to use images of masked rebels in a publicity
campaign. He was refused.

The Cowboys won the final 2-1, and finished the tour exhausted but inspired,
promising to return next year. The communities returned to their cornfields,
turning their attention back to the low intensity warfare which marks the

THE COWBOY STORY The Easton Cowboys began life in the early 1990s as a group
of punks playing football in St Paul's Estate in Bristol, fighting an uphill
battle to join a local league. "Ever tried getting punks and hippies up
early on a Sunday morning?" asked Roger, a former British Aerospace worker,
who made contact with neighbouring Asian and Jamaican teams.

The turning point for the team came in 1993, when the Easton Cowboys were
invited to a football festival in the Swabian mountains, near Stuttgart in
Germany. "That opened our eyes," said Jasper, another player, who discovered
soccer's answer to the Glastonbury festival. Organisers erected a stage,
hired generators, put on bands and a puppet shows for the kids. "They did it
all themselves, without professional help," explained Jasper.

By 1998, the team felt confident enough to host an Alternative World Cup, a
non-profit event with teams from France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Belgium
and Norway. The team raised £10,000 to bring a team from Soweto, South
Africa, who walked away with the trophy. "After that, we felt like we could
do anything" said Roger, little imagining the challenge that lay halfway
across the world. The team members knew little about the Zapatista movement,
but their curiosity was awoken by reports from returned visitors. "It seemed
that their effort to win back control of their lives mirrored our struggle
to stay independent within the global economic order," said Jasper.

US NUCLEAR SPACEPLANE DOWNED, SOUTH OF BRISBANE AUSTRALIA!!!

Hamilton, New Zealand: For the last two months rumors have been flying
over the internet that, concurrent with the US presidential elections,
elements of the US black spaceplane arsenal would be de-classified. No
one seemed to know if this was to be a new initiative, new
spaceplane/bomber development, or an old vehicle which was finally being
brought out from under 'wraps'.

For the last year, expatriot American physicist and aerospace engineer
Millennium Twain * had been researching/exposing the evidence and
estimates of the history & mission of the US Black SpacePlane fleet, the
'BLACKFLEET' as he named it.

Sensing the time was ripe to expose the truth, the aptly-named Twain
began a collaboration with some hundred 'black aircraft' observers and
reporters worldwide -- in an attempt to assemble a thirty-year history
of the names, missions, shapes, and technologies involved. And to
uncover the extent of what 'aerospace-America' had 'produced',
'harvested', or 'built' over those three decades. [The BlackBases ...
Black Space Stations ... in many many orbits.]**

What they uncovered turned out to be a monster, a behemoth. In fact, an
unpredented story to topple governments and empires! [If this emperor
(Uncle 'Scam') wasn't already bringing himself down.]

A history, 'Space Command', and military-warfare 'space-park' ten times
what they had imagined! Spanning not just thirty-odd years, but forty
to fifty years!!

Beginning with the first publicly-revealed supersonic flight, by CHUCK
YEAGER in 1947, and the first publicly-revealed nuclear rocket tests in
the 1950s -- Twain surmised not only that the rumored 'Nautilus' Black
Spaceplane might date from the 1950s, but that it was likely powered by
nuclear fission reactor engines. Possibly with deadly exhaust,
contaminants that would help cripple, and ultimately kill, a world over
the ensuing four to five decades.

The initial results of Twain's surmises and speculations were released
last month, in November, to a stunned worldwide internet community.
Stunned not in the originality of the claims -- but by the obvious-ness.

The incredible fact that we would have overlooked that obviousness for
half a century!

And what that implied about how easily 'programmed' we were. [Are?]

Three weeks later in December, while passing a magazine rack in Hamilton
New Zealand, Millennium saw the first de-classified spaceplane press
coverage.

On the cover of the November 2000 issue of "POPULAR MECHANICS" magazine,
the US Air Force T-588 nuclear spaceplane program was reported to have
been classified ('gone Black') in 1962. And the first USAF T-588 crash,
in 1966, to have taken place at the Jean Fraser Ranch, South of
Brisbane, Australia, in 1966.***

Why are these stories only coming out now? And why only one percent of
the information; one percent of the BlackFleet vehicles, missions and
destinations?

According to Science Editor Jim Wilson, "A search of the Department of
Energy (DOE) HUMAN RADIATION EXPERIMENT DATABASE indicates ... forty
cubic feet of records related to the human health effects of the nuclear
rocket program, compiled between 1956 and 1975, are stored in a secured
location -- building 1001 -- at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in
Los Alamos, New Mexico."

"The only reason these records would have remained classified was if
they dealt with an operational military system." Or operational
systems. [Constellations of systems!]

Then why is whistleblower Twain not afraid to be sharing these secrets
with the southern hemisphere, and the world as a whole?

As Millennium says:

"The Cold War is over. We ARE one world economy now! We do not have
to fear ourselves any longer." More to the point: "Mother Earth is
dieing."

"If we are to have any chance to save ourselves and our priceless
planet, our sacred Mother, we must begin now to tell the truth. To
admit our errors, and realize our potential for collaboration and
creativity. To correct and forget our painful past. To forgive an
entire world, indeed an entire century, for our troubles and mistakes."

And what if it is too late? Too late for our Earth?

"Still we must share the truth now, and admit our mistakes. If we as
individuals AND a species are to move into our new home, the Solar
System, with sufficient insight to survive."

the long, often arduous, frustrating and demoralizing battles to protect
