Critical Shareholders of Europe united

The ecologically and socially motivated shareholder- movements from six
European countries will work closer together from now on, as the result of
their first international conference in Brussels today, Friday.

Critical shareholders from Belgium, GB, Germany, France, Sweden and
Switzerland are participating.  Organizations from further nations are
expected.  Headquarters will be the Cologne-based office of the
Association of Critical Shareholders in Germany.

"This international cooperation forms an effective power against
globalization and mergers of the European companies", says the executive
of the Association, Henry Mathews. "It is no longer important, if there is
a shareholder-meeting of Hoechst in Frankfurt or of Aventis in Strassbourg
- we will be there!"

Kritische Aktionäre jetzt europaweit vernetzt

Die ökologisch und sozial motivierten Aktionärs- vereinigungen in sechs
europäischen Ländern werden ab sofort enger zusammenarbeiten.  Dies
beschlossen sie in ihrer ersten europaweiten Konferenz am heutigenen
Freitag in Brüssel.

Beteiligt sind Kritischen Aktionärinnen und Aktionäre aus Belgien,
Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Schweden und der Schweiz.
Verbände aus weiteren Ländern sollen hinzukommen. Zentrale des neuen
Bündnisses ist die Kölner Geschäftsstelle des Dach- verbands der
Kritischen Aktionäre aus Deutschland.

"Mit dieser internationalen Kooperation entsteht eine wirksame Gegenmacht
zur Globalisierung und zu den Fusionen europäischer Konzerne", freut sich
der Geschäftsführer des Dachverbands, Henry Mathews.  "In Zukunft wird es
keine Rolle mehr spielen, wo Haupt- versammlungen stattfinden: Ob Hoechst
in Frankfurt oder Aventis in Strassburg - wir werden da sein!"
