<nettime> Baudrillard in Saas-Fee |
Thank you, John, for sharing this amusing article with us. Baudrillard has changed our perceptions profoundly over the years and obviously has not lost his touch. Still, it is not his doctrine but rather how he approaches the contemporary world that makes him unique. The best way to encounter his “weird” way of thinking is to study with Baudrillard! In the summer of 2001, M.A. and Ph.D. students will be able work with him at the European Graduate School. Here is the information (a limited number of openings are still available for the year 2001 session): 2000-2001 ACADEMIC YEAR SUMMER RESIDENCY June 10 - July 1, 2001 www.egs.edu Jean Baudrillard is a professor of philosophy of culture and media criticism at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, where he teaches an Intensive Summer Seminar: ON PHOTOGRAPHY - THINKING SNAPSHOTS (3 credits) Outrageous, ironic and poetic approaches to hypermedia and photography, simulation and the real.
