For more info on network security (firewalls, spyware, etc) check out
Steve Gibson's site at grc.com (that's right, no www in front).
Excellent free utilities that are usually under 50K, lots of information
written in an easy-to-understand style, and ways of testing your system
and/or connection to see how secure it really is. His stuff is not only
useful against attacks by those who fashionably consider themselves
"hackers", but also against the backdoor surprises that a lot of
commercial software (including some shareware and freeware) have which
people often don't know about (i.e., spyware).
