locution {AT} location1 is an ongoing series of conversations with performers, 
multi-media artists, writers, and cultural figures, on  the contemporary 
arts. Broadcast live from Location One at www.location1.org, they are also 
archived on the Web with video and audio clips.
Bonnie Marranca, the editor of the arts journal PAJ and author of Ecologies 
of Theatre and Theatrewritings, will conduct the talks.


MEREDITH MONK

On May 25, at 3:00 pm. locution {AT} location1 will inaugurate the new program 
with Meredith Monk, the internationally celebrated 
performer/composer/choreographer/filmmaker. Monk has been creating 
multi-media and musical works for more than three decades, among them Atlas, 
Quarry, Education of the Girlchild, Dolmen Music, and Songs from the Hill. 
She will be the subject of a major retrospective in July at the Lincoln 
Center Festival 2000.
