Thanks to Ted Byfield for the explanation about the server and archive history
of nettime.  On a grander scale there is a service that may just be around when
the sentient robots of Hans Moravec's dreams (and perhaps Ray Kurzweil's) begin
looking for the recorded antics and babbling of the humans who once ran the
Internet--and were allowed to use it.

www.archive.org is in San Francisco, and as of March 2000, they had archived a
billion web pages, about 14 terabytes. I'm sure that nettime is in the archive.
