Hi everyone,

It's time for another Transart winter residency...

This year, as we gather for our New York session, we're also kicking off the Transart Triennale 2016, "The Imperceptible Self".

Check out what's on offer in our public program (below) and join us for an artist talk, exhibition, book launch, workshop or tour.

The second Transart Triennale will open in New York in January to coincide with our annual winter residency.

Public Program will include:

SUNDAY JANUARY 10th
3.30pm
SPACEBODIES curated by Andrea Spaziani
The Gym at Judson
243 Thompson Street, New York

SPACEBODIES is an exhibition of time-based and performance work on expanded definitions of ‘space’ and its affective (im)materiality.
Curated by Transart MFA candidate Andrea Spaziani

TUESDAY JANUARY 12th
5pm
Artist Talk by Shark Roth: “Missing The Megafauna: Rewilding the Canon”
Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA Project Space)
EFA Project Space, 323 West 39th Street, 2nd floor, New York, NY 10018

Painter and Transart Alumnus Shark Roth addresses the idea that as climate impacts deliver us to a novel global frontier, the role of artist as inventor, custodian and presenter of story takes on a great charge. The Transart Triennale theme serves as a lens to consider internal rewilding as eco-system restoration.

THURSDAY JANUARY 14th
5pm

Artist Talk by Jon Catalan: “There but not there. The space between soldier and artist”
Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA Project Space)
EFA Project Space, 323 West 39th Street, 2nd floor, New York, NY 10018

FRIDAY JANUARY 15th
2pm

Artist Talk by Martha Wilson
Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA Project Space)
