ISSUE PROJECT ROOM PRESENTS A PSYCHEDELIC BIRTHDAY PARTY
AT GALAPAGOS ART SPACE

Avant-Garde Film-Inspired Benefit to
Celebrate ISSUE's Sixth Anniversary on May 19

Brooklyn, NY - Loosely drawing conceptually from Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1973 masterpiece of psychedelic cinema The Holy Mountain, ISSUE Project Room will present a sumptuous event for the senses at Galapagos Art Space. Marking ISSUE's sixth anniversary, the event will be part costume party, and part benefit, with raffles, prizes, auctions along with some wild performances. All proceeds from the evening will benefit ISSUE Project Room, one of New York City's premier destinations for experimental culture and avant-garde performing arts.

The Evening's Delights & Highlights:

- Elysian Fields

- JG Thirlwell with Ed Pastorini, Ben Perowsky and Oren Bloedow

- Live visuals by Brock Monroe - A live cinema artist and designer, working mainly in the connection of improvisatory projections to music, Brock is also a member of the infamous Joshua Light Show.

- Straight and Narrow (1970) - Film screening by Tony Conrad with soundtrack by John Cale and Terry Riley.

- Films by Martha Colburn and Marie Losier.

- Ray Sweeten - A composer and software designer, working in the intersection between image and sound using a hybrid of digital and analog media.
