In the exhibition Another Expo, curator Shinya Watanabe seeks to
deconstruct 
ideas of the Nation-State, while commenting on the politics after the 
collapse of internationalism and the rise of American Unilateralism. The

exhibition encourages a dialogue that will ultimately produce ideas
leading 
to rapport and concord among Nation-States by artists who have suffered 
under Nation-States, and artists who inquire and question concepts of the

Nation-State. The exhibition will become an opportunity to consider
building 
mutual understanding and to reconsider Japan's obscure Nationalism and
the 
maladies of global capitalism. Another Expo takes place the same year as
the 
Aichi Expo as well as the 60th anniversary of the end of WW II. Included
in 
the exhibition are artists from Okinawa such as Yuken Teruya and several

former Yugoslavian artists whose first-hand experience with the
complexities 
of Nation-States are not only relevant but timely.
